I’m sure one of the Food Rules on Michael Pollan’s cutting room floor must have been, “Eat all the S’mores you want as long as you toast the marshmallows on an actual campfire.” Well, sharing this recipe for a Brownie wrapped S’more won’t be the first rule I’ve broken around here.
It’s summertime party time! Father’s Day. Graduations. Weddings. Baby Showers. Bring S’morkies to your next party, picnic or barbeque and watch the sheer joy ensue. Rules are made to be broken and S’morkies are made to be eaten!
Ingredients for S’morkies:
1 recipe Classic Brownies
4-6 Graham crackers
6-8 Peanut Butter Cups
8-12 Marshmallows
Notes:
Make individually or by the pan. The graham cracker layer will soften for easier cutting if constructed in advance. Cutting into bite sized pieces will yield about 20-24 S’morkies. Follow the recipe for Classic Brownies or any other pan cookie you desire. You can also use Marshmallow Cream and Creamy Peanut Butter in place of the marshmallows and peanut butter cups. For added instruction, consult the Peanut Butter S’mores Recipe.
Directions:
Prepare Classic Brownies as directed and remove from the pan. If brownies are still warm, layer brownie, graham cracker, peanut butter cup, marshmallow, top graham and top brownie. Gently press together. The heat from the brownie will melt the marshmallow and chocolate.
If brownies are cool, layer peanut butter cup and marshmallow on one half graham cracker and microwave 5 -10 seconds, until melting. Continue building S’morkie as pictured above. Because the melted marshmallow acts as glue, make sure it is well distributed to hold the S’morkie together.
Share and enjoy.
lol you’re insane but I had to come over after seeing the name ‘smorkie’. My girls would love this!
Lol! Thanks, Rachel :) The only thing more fun than saying smorkie is eating smorkies!
S’morkie what?! Thought I was going to see a chocolate doggie or something. No really, these sound great. Bet my dad would love them, too funny!
