Remember when you would go on a vacation and come home with two or three rolls of film? Maybe six if you really went crazy? The digital age knows no such constraints.
I recently returned from a Culinary Tour of Tallinn, Estonia and I am sorting through thousands of images, choosing the perfect sips, bites and sights to share with you.
Although I am making choices now, the luxury of a Culinary Tour is that master chefs such as Dimitri Demjanov of Gloria Restaurant (above) and celebrity food bloggers like Pille Petersoo of NAMI-NAMI make decisions for you. They know the precise pour to compliment their fine, fresh Estonian cuisine.
And even when you do need to make your own selections, such as at Leib Restaurant, the wine list is so compelling and curated it seems nearly impossible to make a bad choice.
Well, it’s back to Los Angeles and reality strikes. Fortunately, Madeline Puckette of Winefolly has created this witty How to Choose Wine Infographic (above) for those occasions when selecting the perfect bottle is too perplexing.
It turns out answering simple questions like, “Did you eat dirt as a child?” or understanding that Vodka is a far superior choice for a Bachelorette Party, can bring the wisdom of a Culinary Tour to your own humble selections. Full Size Infographic here.
So no matter where your culinary explorations, or this handy inforgraphic lead you… Cheers!
More to come on my Estonian Culinary Adventure… stay tuned! Special thanks to Michael Chan; Estonian Consul, Chef John Mitzewich; Foodwishes.com and The Taste Awards for making this Culinary Tour of Tallinn, Estonia possible.
