WHY VLOG?
Kodak asked me to participate in a cool project called the “Vlogger Challenge.” I have thought a lot about vlogging lately, so I thought this would be a great way to jump in. The first topic in the five-part Kodak Vlogger Challenge series is… Why Vlog? I share my thoughts in the vlog, but what do you think? What would you like me to vlog about? Do you think vlogging is awesome or should I stick to celebrity chef interviews and cooking demos? Leave a comment and let me know what you’d like to see…

OVEN BAKED CORN FRIES!
If you have given up on “oven baked” french fries because you think they are soggy, these Oven Baked Corn Fries are going to blow your mind. I’m serious. Get the recipe here.
Kodak provided a slick new Play Touch HD video camera to shoot the vlog. It’s very compact (requires very little purse space), has a touch-screen and is super easy to use. It shoots up to 1080p HD (I opted for 720p for the vlog) and my favorite feature is the external mic port. This is nothing new for Kodak — they identified the importance of giving users options for better audio long ago. Thank you Kodak — I used the external mic port to get my Sennheiser MKE 400 into the mix. The Play Touch also has image stabilization, but since I was using a tripod I haven’t put this feature to the test yet. I will share more thoughts on the Play Touch in future Vlogger Challenge installments.

What is this Vlogger Challenge? I can’t find anything about it on the Kodak site. I want in man. I’ve making video now, not quite a vlogger but I do make some video content with my Kodak PlayTouch and my Kodak PlaySport (when on the water.)
Like the video. As always.

I thought for sure you’d be doing this too! It was your contact that got in touch with us about it. It’s going on over the busiest 5 weeks of the year so it’s especially challenging… we shot this on the PlayTouch and it’s awesome!! Thank you so much for dropping by <3 Happy Holidays, Drew!!
