This super easy, fail proof, hard boiled egg method, produces an egg that’s easy to peel and never has a green-gray ring around the yolk.
I learned this hard boiled egg method from my Uncle Clark who credits legendary food writer and egg aficionado, Russ Parsons.
No, really. Russ knows eggs. For reals.

Directions for Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs:
1. Place cold eggs in a pot and cover them with water.
2. Bring the water to a rolling boil over high heat. Cover and cook for 1 minute.
3. Immediately remove from the heat and let the eggs stand for 12 – 15 minutes.
4. Drain the cooking water and replace with ice water.
5. Peel and enjoy.
A suggestion from Parsons on making the eggs easier to peel, “Drain the (ice) water and rattle the eggs around in the pot to lightly crack the shells.”
I prefer the “bang and rip” method I demonstrate in the video.
But maybe I rattle too hard?
