When I began vlogging for Babble, I thought I would ask chefs, whenever the opportunity presented itself, “What’s the most important thing to remember when cooking for kids?” As maybe you’ve noticed, I don’t have kids but I do feed them every now and then, so I know how frustrating cooking for kids can be.
And as you’ll notice when you watch this video featuring Guy Fieri, he’s on stage at Pebble Beach Food & Wine. I didn’t get the opportunity to personally interview Fieri, but he did throw me a t-shirt for knowing why most people don’t like to cook with sesame oil. The answer I shouted from the back of the room? “Because it’s rancid!”
And though I’d really like to say, “I saw a Guy Fieri Cooking Demo and all I got was a giant T-shirt,” I can’t… because I know how important Cooking With Kids is for him. Fieri recently had a resolution passed that officially recognizes every Sunday in the State of California, “Cook With Kids Day.” (Photo credit: SacFoodies)
