Do you like breakfast in bed? Leave a comment.
There are two kinds of people in the world: Those that like breakfast in bed, and those that don’t. I fit into the latter group. Don’t get me wrong, if waking up to a big plate of pancakes on your pillow is the stuff your dreams are made of, go for it! But the thought of crumbs, spilled coffee, sticky syrup and morning mouth moments after waking isn’t appealing to me. What about you? Are you a breakfast-in-bedder? Am I missing something? Chime in on the debate!
WHOLE WHEAT BUTTERMILK BISCUITS… IN BED?
Although I’m not a fan of breakfast in bed, I do enjoy breakfast… especially when served with Whole Wheat Buttermilk Biscuits! Not only are these biscuits soft, fluffy and full of flavor, they also have the added nutrition of whole wheat! Enjoy them hot from the oven with a little butter, honey or jam. You might even slice them open, make Breakfast Biscuit Sliders and enjoy in bed… if that’s your thing.

LOL Betty, love the breakfast in bed pic! I actually enjoy breakfast in bed- a birthday tradition at my home. My hubby and kiddos will suprise me, not always tasty but its the thought that counts :) Your biscuits look YUM, can’t wait to make em and enjoy in bed lol!

I love that picture too Betty! I’ve never had breakfast in bed so I don’t know lol. I’ll have to try it and get back to you lol.
Heidi from Savory Tv says
Seriously? There are people who don’t like breakfast in bed? Sheesh!
Your biscuits and Eggs Benedict look killer!
One thing inquiring minds *need* to know, did you really make happy egg face plates and put them in your bed? ;)

Seriously, Betty, there IS a place for breakfast in bed, and that’s the Caribbean! When we were in the Bahamas awhile back ( a looong while back; I need a vacation) we placed a standing order for breakfast delivery, mostly just to wake us up so we didn’t sleep the day away (we were both working nights at the time). The attendant woke us every morning with a tray heaped with fresh fruit, warm croissants and a carafe of coffee. Total decadence! It was a great way to start the day, and no syrup to mess up the sheets!

I’ve always wanted to try a real american breakfast. My morning consist of tea & crackers with cream cheese and pumpkin jam.

Wow, some seriously great cases for breakfast in bed! It’s looking like I’m out numbered! Margaret, I love the birthday tradition element… Wendy, the Caribbean… what’s not to love about that scenario!?! I could use a vacation, too!
Stacia, if you give it a try – let us know how you like it! Heidi, I wish those hot red sheets were on my bed, but no… it’s the miracle of photo editing :) And @lalauncensored, my typical breakfast is a lot more simple like the one you describe… fruit and something whole grain with coffee.
Love y’all!

I’m a bread kind of girl but not a breakfast in bed kind. I’m awake way too early to even think about taking food upstairs to eat it in my bed. I’d rather sit on my sofa with a cup of coffee and then a few hours later eat my biscuits! BTW, those biscuits look awesome. I am in awe of people who make them because mine always turn out like hockey pucks!

My Honey gets coffee by his bedside every morning! And breakfast 4 to 5 days a week!!! This way, there is no guilt when I kick his butt out of bed and make him work!!!
Gera @ SweetsFoods says
I’m with you – I don’t like breakfast in bed! It’s uncomfortable and you can spill your tea/coffee no matter the excellent bed-table or alike you’re using.
So cute the first photo – great composition.
With all the gorgeous options for breakfast, I’m thinking it again my first sentence ;)
Cheers,
Gera

I’m with you a bed is for two things. One of those things is sleeping… the other is NOT eating. GREG
Jessie says
I like my breakfast at the table! I have tried eating breakfast in bed, just not my cup of tea.
truthbeknown says
The main thing about breakfast in bed is that the effort is a display of affection. Keep it simple food-wise. Fruit and beverage.

I am loving all these great responses!
HoneyB, we have so much in common! I usually drink coffee and then have breakfast a little later too. Thanks for the kind words about the biscuits… they are pretty temperamental! Handling the dough as little as possible is the best tip I can give ;)
Lisa, your Honey must be the happiest man alive! I will admit to being woken up with “coffee in bed” and that is pretty darn sweet!
Hi Gera, Ahhh, thank you! The possibility of a mess – in bed – just insn’t for me either!
sippitysup, you never fail to make me laugh!
Thanks for chiming in, Jessie. Table, sofa, breakfast bar… anywhere but bed!
truthbeknown, you could not be more correct! Just make sure the person likes the “idea” of breakfast in bed ;)
Love y’all!
Betty
