What’s your holiday confession? Leave a comment.
I have a BIG confession to make this Thanksgiving. I have never stuffed, baked, deep fried, smoked, or even carved a turkey. It’s true. Pathetic and true. Now, don’t get me wrong… I’m the first one in the kitchen trenches ready to peel, mash, chop or stir. I’ve just never been the baker of the bird.
So what about you? Do you have any Thanksgiving Confessions? Have you never made a turkey, either? Do you pretend to like a side dish just to appease your mother-in-law? Have you ever completely botched a dish on Thanksgiving but served it anyway? Fess up!
While I can’t take credit for the Thanksgiving turkey, I certainly don’t arrive empty-handed. I bring the cookies. All kinds of cookies. And this Thanksgiving, Gingerbread Cookies will be the spotlight of my cookie platter.

A BIG BACON THANKS!
Thank you! Thank you for visiting my site, reading my rants, watching my videos and trying my recipes! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday full of love, great company and delicious food. And remember: This year, in addition to the regular Holiday nonsense, there’s the added bonus of swine flu. So if you plan to attend the annual Black Friday trampling for a $49 DVD player, make sure to wash your hands.

my confesion isn’t relly a secret. i can NOT stand stuffing! It’s like bread and celery and comes from the inside of the turkey!! my hole family thinks i’m weird for not liking it.

First off, I am in cookie heaven right now looking at all those cookies!! *smiling slightly bigger than normal*
My worst holiday? The year my mother got sick, I had to make/finish Christmas Dinner for the family since it was at our house. Everyone raved over everything but one dish, the potato salad! I made it the way my mother dictated it to me, (stuffy nosed and all), she tasted it, gave it her stamp of approval but still, my family knew she did not make it! They threw a fit and well, left me saying, “I’m never fixing food for any of you again!” ha! Got to love the holidays!!!

Oh I never stuffed a turkey before either! I usually buy turkey breasts and just roast them in the oven. Stuffing itself however is always made separately!
Those cookies look really good by the way. I think I’ll have a 1 or 6 lol
Have a great Thanksgiving!

My evil confession is I am a southern gal, and like to add pork fat or meat something to everything if possible. I love veggies, but prefer them meat flavored, haha. My father in law is a strict vegan who is a hypochondriac. He’s allergic or sensitive to everything under the sun, In reality he is so lazy and such a picky eater he would rather eat chips and beer. So my confession is hardly anything I cook at thanksgiving, ok nothing is vegan, but I tell him it is, and he eats like he hasn’t had food in a week. Then he stays for a week eating leftovers, and saying how great and energetic he feels.

The gingerbread man is way too cute!
And don’t stress over cooking a turkey. Really, it’s no harder than roasting a chicken. Just takes longer. But the principles are the same. ;)
