Oh, Honey! While students everywhere celebrate the arrival of summer and, perhaps more importantly, summer break, I’m back in school! Culinary school. I’m in the beautiful Napa Valley for the National Honey Board Summit at The Culinary Institute of America. This week I’ll be submerged in pure sweetness: Honey 101.
I already use honey in salad dressings and dipping sauces, and of course there’s nothing more soothing for a sore throat. When I was a kid, my lunch box featured a peanut butter and honey sandwich at least three times a week. I’m eager to learn more about honey, and I can’t wait to be schooled by the CIA chef instructors!
As always, I’ll be on the Twitter, so join me and get in on the buzz.
Lucky you!
Kathy, it was an unbelievable experience and I do feel like the luckiest person in the world…
It was beyond wonderful to have you participate in the National Honey Board’s Honey Summit 2011 at CIA… Thank you for sharing your time and talents! Just know that you’re making it increasingly hard for me to associate you with the word “average.” You rocked it at CIA, elbow to elbow with some of the nation’s best chefs. Thanks a million for joining us. What’s next?!
Andrea, it was an opportunity of a lifetime and truly an honor to cook at the CIA with the nation’s best chefs. Thank YOU! What’s next? Can we top the CIA?!?!
It will be tough… Not sure that we could.
Indeed. It’s going to be hard to top cooking and baking in the CIA kitchens with amazing chefs… but you know I’m wiling to try :)
Sara…I am very excited to watch your shows…I lost my memory and you have helped me regain my love for cooking…I had a cyst removed about a year ago from my brain, but in doing so I lost the last 28 years of my life…I am OK though, no sympathy here…God does things for a reason…Thanks so much for your show…It really inspires me to go on with my cooking passion…stay on top of it, and thank you so much for your time…Adam Jones
Hi Adam,
It’s a pleasure to know you. I’ve never received a comment quite like yours… I’m so glad you found me my show. Thank you so much for the inspiration you and your kind words have given me.
I’m so happy you’re on the road to recovery. I know you’ll continue to get better and regain your memory, especially with a passion for cooking whole foods at home.
Thanks for friending me up on Facebook, too ;)
Cheers,
Sara (aka Betty)
