According to American folklore, one can measure the state of the economy by the length of ladies’ skirts; the shorter the skirt, the worse the economy. It’s questionable whether or not this holds true in the current economy, which is rather bleak unless your name is Warren Buffet or you’re a Web 2.0 prodigy. Despite the sluggish economy, ladies’ skirts are shorter than the attention span of a tween.
So maybe American folklore needs an update? Maybe we can measure the state of the economy by the size of burgers? Well, considering the economy is in the pits and mini-burgers are hotter than David Cook, this might just be the new “rule” for the twenty-first century.
Betty’s not much of an economist, but she’s all over mini-burgers! And when her favorite mad-crazy financial analyst, Betty Cramer, pimps mini-burgers, she sees an opportunity to help stimulate the economy with her mini-burger recipe! It can’t possibly be any worse than other ideas. Will Betty’s mini-burgers provide the juice our ailing economy needs? Watch Mad Mini-Burgers to find out for yourself…

AVERAGE BETTY SIGHTINGS
Nick at Podxies created the above picture of Bella Betty and wrote an awesome review of Betty! Nick says he “had a palsy grin stamped on [his] face for the duration of the show,” and describes it as a “two bird with one stone win-win situation.” And if you didn’t know… Bella Betty and “Fettuccine Alfradio” was inspired by a cool viewer, Scott M, who craved pasta and urged Betty to do a pasta episode! So Betty wants to know: What are you craving?
BETTY SHOUT OUTS!
Betty recently heard from Staff Sergent Mark Thompson stationed at the Balad Military Hospital/Trauma Pharmacy in Iraq. Mark writes, “You have no idea how much your humor and persona lifts our spirits here. Thanks again and God bless.” Betty thanks you, Mark! Writing Betty and sharing those nice sentiments lifts her spirits as well. You have no idea how touched Betty is to know she’s touching the lives of our brave and selfless men and women in uniform. Please give a BIG BETTY SHOUT OUT to all of the fine ladies and gentlemen at Balad Military Hospital! Our thoughts, prayers, hugs and kisses go out to YOU from home.
And Betty thanks all of the awesome people that help enrich the Average Betty community, especially those that make Betty’s recipes and comment, email or blog about the results! And hey, if you’re not into the cooking and are just here for laughs, Betty loves to hear that too!
WHAT’S BETTY DIGGIN’?
This adorable kitty picture, of course! Actually, the kitty-in-a-cast photo above is from a really cool site, How I Spent my Stimulus Check, a collaborative project/website. You may know that Betty has a degree in Art History, and Art 2.0 just makes her giddy! All of the blog entries on “How I Spent my Stimulus Check” are submitted by visitors to the site. You can upload a photo and share your story of how/if you spent your stimulus check. Didn’t get one? You can tell that story too.
Thanks for watching!
