Happy New Year! It’s 2008 and Betty can hardly believe it. 2007 went by so quickly! You know what they say: “Time flies when you’re having fun.” And what a fun year it was! It was Betty’s first full year of producing cooking-comedy videos, and she gives a huge heart-felt thank you to each and every one of you for participating in the Average Betty community, giving it life, and making this the greatest year of her life! Another saying comes to mind (that is especially true in online video): “This wouldn’t be possible without you!” Thank you for your love and support, and may your 2008 be filled with happiness, success, love, and of course some Average Betty videos and recipes!
There were a couple of exciting developments for Betty at the end of 2007. First, Average Betty was named a Best of 2007 Podcast on iTunes! And not only that, iTunes placed Average Betty in the Classic Video category. Just over a year old and named a classic? Gotta love it! Thank you, iTunes, for the tremendous honor! And a big time Betty thank you to all of her iTunes subscribers!
Second, Betty had an exciting trip to Maui, Hawaii in December! It was a relaxing time on the beach, snorkeling with sea turtles, gazing at rainbows, eating fresh fish and recharging for a busy 2008! The picture at the top of the page was taken at one of the island’s natural beauties: A blow hole along the beautiful coastline of the North shore.
Betty returned from Maui and the holiday season was in full swing! She spent time with loving family and friends, and rang in the new year with a bang in downtown Los Angeles. It was a time to look back at 2007, and then dream of what is in store for 2008…
