It’s only appropriate that February is American Heart Month, and with Valentine’s Day on the 14th, Betty dishes up a heart-healthy Tortilla Soup for two. A touch of spice in this light, entrée soup makes it the perfect meal on a chilly February night, especially if you’re saving room for –uh hum– dessert. A romantic dinner featuring this hot n’ spicy soup might just be the stimulus package your Valentine’s Day needs this year.

BETTY ON THE TOWN: THE FARM @ LA LIVE
Yeah. That’s right. Betty went from Average-list to A-list when she got an invite to attend The Farm of Beverly Hills Grand Opening Reception at LA Live!
Betty sampled delicious food and decadent desserts, not to mention the cutest veggie flower arrangements…
The open layout and inviting space of The Farm gives patrons a clear view into the immaculate kitchen.
Executive chef Hans Goplen and his adorable daughter greeted guests and made everyone feel like family. If you’re in the LA area, stop in for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner at one of The Farm’s three locations; if you’re not in LA, order some of their famous brownies online.
PERKS OF THE JOB
Betty is feeling especially saucy this month! A super cool sample of Blazin’ Spicy Habanero Beer Mustard Sauce from Blazin Hot Sauce out of Richmond Hill, GA arrived to tantalize Betty’s taste buds! Check out all the Blazin’ spices, rubs and sauces. They even have a newsworthy Barack Obama Hot Sauce and you can order online.

John H from California sent Betty this killer photo of what John has dubbed the Pimp Shrimp. Perfect??? Pimp??? Either way, they look super tasty, John. Betty loves the black sesame seeds and the rustic wood serving tray! Thanks for sending in your photo and trying Betty’s recipe.
