Well, it’s that time of year again! No, not Halloween… although Christine O’Donnell is spooking the hell out of people, and Butternut Squash Soup sounds pretty good right now. I’m talking about BlogWorld!
Every year, thousands of bloggers swim upstream make the journey to Las Vegas to spawn share knowledge and connect with other bloggers and brands. And this year, BlogWorld has a new ingredient that has food bloggers like me very excited! BlogWorld has teamed up with the BakeSpace TECHmunch Food Blogger Conference to launch the first ever track specifically for food bloggers.
Team Betty is scheduled to speak on the Setting Up Your Digital Kitchen panel on Friday, October 15, 2010 at noon on the Jenn-Air Kitchen Stage in the heart of BlogWorld at Mandalay Bay. We’ll be in great company with Melody Pepaj, Beth Cochran, Dan Delaney and moderator, Marsha Collier. I’m not sure what tips and tricks other members of the panel will share, but we’ll share behind-the-scenes views of our compact Jenn Air – KitchenAid – Bosch home kitchen to show how we get camera angles, address lighting challenges and produce video in a downright tiny kitchen!
In addition to the lineup of live cooking demonstrations from Erik Trinidad, Diane Cu & Todd Porte and Chef Stephen Hopcraft, I’m also excited about meeting Mike Dobranski in person, seeing Marc Matsumoto (who thinks I’m the life of the party, btw) and a number of TECHmunch Food Track sessions and speakers, including…
Monetizing Your Content & Building Your Brand with Babette Pepaj, Jaden Hair and Nadia Giosia moderated by Brett Erlich.
Leveraging Traditional Media: How to Get on a Food Editor’s Radar with Rene Lynch, Jeff Houck, Kat Kinsman and Andrea Metcalf.
Food Trends & Curating Flavors on the Web: How to Come Up with Great Content with Nichelle Stephens, Sarah Gim, Lindsay William-Ross and Amanda Coolong.
Will you be there? Or will you be watching online? Either way, follow @averagebetty and watch for hashtags #BWE10 and #techmunch for updates.
