U.C.L.A. Fight! Fight! Fight!
The first time UCLA came into my life, I was living in Florida and it was 1984. A silly song by comedienne Julie Brown called “Cause I’m a Blonde” was all over the radio. I was just a little girl but I could easily crack my older brother up by singing the lyrics…
I just want to say that being chosen as this month’s Miss August is
like a compliment I’ll remember for as long as I can.
Right now I’m a freshman in my fourth year at UCLA but my goal is
to become a veterinarian cause I love children

As I got older, attending and graduating from a college as prestigious as UCLA seemed like a dream for this drama nerd from Tampa. But with hard work, dedication and support from my loving husband, Lee, I made that dream a reality.
Today, being an alumna from UCLA is one of my proudest achievements and further proof to my theory that average people do amazing things everyday. And sometimes, they do things that even surprise themselves!
Being written up so graciously by fellow-Bruin, Sandy Siegel in UCLA Magazine, makes me feel like singing in the streets!
