So what is it about a blog anyway that requires that it be kept up on a daily basis? Blog is such a newly defined term… Is blog synonymous with diary?
I would say the average gal has trouble keeping a diary or journal. Don’t get me wrong, it would be great to be a good record keeper: Today I did this, ate this and I felt like this. I have this fantasy about this and oh, I just had the best idea about what to be for halloween next year… you get the idea.
I don’t need a diary maybe. Or, maybe a diary, I will discover some years down the road, would have completed my life and I will look back and say, “If I’d only kept a diary.”
I think the thoughts that I have had and did write down, either in a diary or journal are like trendy clothes coming back into fashion.
The thoughts are good at the time, but when you think you could reuse them, they are really too old and worn and a newer, more updated version is available anyway.
I guess my blog entries are more like articles than diary entries. Not day to day, but little nuggets of my life mixed with thoughts at the time. That way, at least to me anyway, it’s not so much blah, blah, blog.
