Lights! Camera– er– Microphone! Radio Waves!
Admittedly, I watched too much WKRP in Cincinnati when I was a kid. I couldn’t get enough Dr. Johnny Fever and thought Jennifer Marlowe had to be the prettiest woman on television.
So when I got the opportunity to co-host the SoCal Restaurant Show on AM 830 KLAA with Jet Tila and Andy Harris, I jumped at the chance.
If you missed the live show, or KLAA happens to be outside of your oscillating electromagnetic field, you can listen to it on the SoCal Restaurant Show website: PART ONE – PART TWO – PART THREE
Also on the show, underground baker, Rachel Klemek, of Black Market Bakery shares her story of butter, sugar and flour. Rachel brought in the treats you see above, even a Birthday cake for our beloved host. Everything I sampled devoured was a knockout.
I would eat the Oat Currant Cinnamon Scones every morning for breakfast if given the chance. And the rich, chocolatey Cabernet Brownie, that could easily be used as currency, is one of the finest bakery brownies I’ve ever tasted.
Black Market Bakery, a Kickstarter success story, had it’s grand opening on Monday, February 11th.

Big thanks to everyone at AM 830 KLAA, especially Andy Harris and Chef Jet Tila for having me on the show. I truly had a blast.
Super big thanks to the Randy and Sergio who managed to take the “Foghorn Leghorn” off my voice, and almost make me sound sultry. Hubba Hubba!
TUNE IN to the SoCal Restaurant Show EVERY SATURDAY at 10:30 AM on KLAA.
