It seems you can’t go a day without hearing about Pop Diva, Miley Cyrus… what she’s wearing, who she’s dating, and especially what she’s doing wrong. In fact, this “news” seems more newsworthy than her music most of the time! So it’s sure refreshing when a new Pop Act that cares more about making music than shopping for shoes takes the spotlight. And it seems even the hyper-critical Betty Billboard believes the Popcorn Stars are the next pop sensation worthy of our attention.
Are the Popcorn Stars really the best Pop Duo since Milli Vanilli? How did the Popcorn Stars get their name? Do the Popcorn Stars really love popcorn? Watch Popcorn Stars to find out…

Regardless of whether you love Pop Music, you’ll love the sweet, salty flava’ of Teen and Tween Betty’s Kettle Popcorn! Adult supervision advised for making this recipe… but not for eating it! Find out if Kettle Popcorn really is the perfect summertime snack…

AVERAGE BETTY SIGHTINGS
Amidst photos of fine linens, lush appointments, beautiful vistas and the unparalleled service you’ll find at The Huntington Hotel, you’ll see a little bit of average. Average Betty that is! The Huntington Hotel & Nob Hill Spa has included Betty’s Bam-a-Lamb Burger video on their website! You can also check out The Big 4 Restaurant’s Award Winning Executive Chef Gloria’s new website. She shares fabulous recipes and upcoming events in an awesome package that you don’t want to miss!
Betty had the pleasure of meeting Chef John of Food Wishes at The Food & Wine Classic in Aspen! And he wrote Betty up on his blog! It seems Chef John thinks Betty’s interview techniques are a bit unorthodox… “When it comes to how celebrity chef interviews should be conducted… Average Betty didn’t just flip the script; she juiced it and made everyone Jell-O shots… her unique approach exposed these chefs’ true personalities in a way you will never see on television.” Betty’s never been one to fit the mold, so thanks for noticing Chef John!
It’s not too often you’ll find Betty mentioned on teh internets in a non-food related context, but that is one of the benefits of following her on Twitter. LaLaWag happened to spot a pic that Betty posted to Twitpic of the memorial and crowd outside the (Michael) Jackson Family home. Betty’s pic, dubbed Peter Pan in Encino by the brilliant minds at LaLaWag was included in a clever spot they call This Weekend in TwitPics. Thanks, LaLaWag!
PERKS OF THE JOB
A big surprise upon returning from Aspen was receiving an autographed copy of Ming’s Master Recipes and the sweetest note from Chef Ming Tsai! The note contained an invitation to dine at Blue Ginger in Boston! OMG! Chef Ming, you can count on Betty stopping by the next time she’s in Beantown! Thank you for the fantastic interview and the awesome cookbook! Betty can’t wait to fire up some of your recipes!
Thanks to the great people at Tazo Tea and Edelman PR, Betty has been sipping delicious Tazo Iced Tea! And even more exciting for YOU, Betty’s having a Tazo Tea Give Away in the coming weeks! Fire up the ice maker! LOLWUT?
BETTY LOVES A GOOD TWEET
And if everyone on Twitter was like rockandshoals… the internet would be a better place :)
WHAT’S BETTY UP TO NEXT?
Hard Drive Crash Potatoes and writing in the first person. Yeah, my hard drive crashed (without a current backup) and rocked my world; so much so I think it’s time to start writing in the first person. But there was one upside to the crash: This awesome desktop pic (above) from replacing the 250GB (crashed) HD with a sweet new 1TB! –err, I mean Betty says all that :)

Will you come to a dinner party at my house? I don’t have one planned ,but I’d plan one around you (after Aug 12) when my jaw gets un-wired!! You are THE reason I started a blog and your comments on my site mean very much to me. GREG

Holy Cow, Greg!
I am the reason you started blogging? I usually only drive people to drink – I am glad you chose something far more productive… your blog is fabulous!!
I would be honored to attend an un-wired dinner party at your pad! Although your soup recipes are to die for! ;)

That kettle corn recipe looks good, but not as good as the cheese popcorn and caramel corn from http://www.nutsonclark.com . Love your blog, very entertaining.
