What are you tweeting about eating? Leave a comment.
People are using twitter for just about everything. Whether it’s good, bad or highly inappropriate, it’s right there on the public timeline for all to see. Not surprisingly, a lot of people tweet what they eat, whether it’s good, bad or highly inappropriate. I’m definitely one of those people, so when I see a tweet like this I can hardly contain myself…
OMG! Your first roux?!? Well now I’m nervous and excited. Anxious and giddy. I wonder if you have any questions? I wonder if you printed the recipe or if you’re following along on my web site, possibly via your smartphone? I wonder if you embellished the recipe? I wonder if you watched the recipe’s accompanying video? Frankly, I ache with anticipation just to hear anything! So, when I see these photos of YOU with dishes you’ve prepared using one of my recipes, I get more energized than a kid chasing after the ice cream truck!
AVA’S V-DAY SUGAR COOKIES!
This is Ava from Hyattsville, Maryland. Those are Ava’s sugar cookies! She made them on Valentine’s Day. Don’t they look delicious? Ava’s Mom Janel tweeted, “Another snow day w the kiddos! Invited extra kid over to make vday cookies w us. Recipe is Give me some sugar cookies from @averagebetty.” Janel elaborated via email, “I clicked on one of your tweets which led me to the sugar cookie recipe so I doubled it… Love the way you make things so easy to follow and entertaining :) My only complaint is that the cookies didn’t last very long around here!” I hear ya’, Janel! And who could complain about a silly blizzard with Ava around?
Dana aka @wankergirl from St. John’s, Newfoundland, tried three recipes in one night… on her friends and family! According to her blog post and video (parental discretion on the video — just a heads up), the Macaroni n’ Cheese and Pudding Filled Cupcakes were a success! The Jalapeno Poppers on the other hand, were “aggressive.” Ouch. Sorry friends and family! Maybe Anaheim Poppers next time?
OH, MAC JENNY!
Jenny Anne from Denver, Colorado sent this killer twitpic with the message, “It’s @averagebetty’s Mac Daddy & Cheese! So good & so easy.” Aww shucks. Jenny’s first roux with my Macaroni n’ Cheese recipe? I’m speechless.
|KC from NYC tweeted a pic, “@averagebetty Guess what I am finally getting around to make…?” Seeing the pile of fresh, shiny jalapenos I knew it had to be Jalapeno Poppers! I went through my usual range of emotions fearing they’d be too hot until I saw KC’s next twitpic, “Few drops of Cholula Lime before the cheese…” The result? “@averagebetty OH MY. I am putting you in my will.” Phew. I always figured that KC was a spicy gal!|
