My fave food to do on Christmas is lamp on barbecue…in my country it’s cooked in the “parrilla”…omg, so delicious. We add a bit of “chimichurri”, lemon and that’s it. Of course it needs 4-5 hours of sloooow cooking for tenderness but’s so worth it!!
Hughs Betty!

Wait…that’s not baking…oops, in that case I made my extra especial 5 layers cake: “dulce de leche”, cream, chocolate mousse, sabayon mousse and a thick layer of condensed milk. It’s an invention…creepy invention, need a day in the fridge.

I live overseas, and the smells of the holidays are very different over here. But baking up a batch of my grandma’s monkey bread and my mom’s applesauce muffins always makes my house smell like the holidays back home, and it makes the distance a little shorter :)
I love making cookies for the holidays… especially Snickerdoodles (which aren’t really Christmasy, but oh well).

My family’s favorite thing for me to bake during the holidays are my Chai cookies. My husband tried to convince me that I should start a business selling them! I, however, am not particularly picky. Being pregnant right now, I could really go for a pastry wrapped baked brie with apricot preserves, cranberries and almonds, but I can’t have it (damn that threat of listseria). Would love to get some new bakeware as mine are rather well-loved.
