Piquant. And perfectly seasoned.

The Monterey Peninsula is easily one of the most spellbinding places on earth. So, it only makes sense that the 5th Annual Pebble Beach Food & Wine is all the swank and elegance I am expecting, and more.

Culinary Rock Star, Anne Burrell (left) comes out dancing to Katy Perry, popping Prosecco at 10 AM.

Guy Fieri brings the rowdy. Rowdy being tequila and Southern Rock. Also in-tow: his monster truck and his Mom.

Tim Love serves up tacos I would walk over broken glass for.

Thomas Keller’s festival staple, what I like to call, Shellfish Bonanza, (top) is in full-effect.

Henriot is flowing, Stella is on draft and the Belvedere Lemon Tea Cocktails do not suck.

Best of all, Michael Chiarello is strolling around, treating everyone like his BFF. Not to mention, he’s rocking a totally snappy brown blazer.

There’s a video to come, featuring an interview with Anne Burrell. In the meantime, here’s an appetizer to hold you over till dinner…

Actual Running Rebel, Guy Fieri, auctions the shirt off his back for his charity, Cooking With Kids. The winning bidders celebrate. I’m fairly certain they know one another.

You know when kids say, “If you love it so much, why don’t you marry it?” Tim Love’s Cabrito Taco with Salsa Cruda and Pickled Chillies.

Chef Angela Tamura’s Saffron Risotto Cake with Braised Veal Shoulder, Watermelon, Radish, Sweet Garlic RĂ©moulade. Outstanding.

Nine out of ten people at Pebble Beach Food & Wine can spell the word WAGYU but can they spell DUXELLE? Snake River Farms Wagyu Beef, Shiitake Mushroom Duxelle, Sweet Soy, Crushed Peanuts, Micro Cilantro, Green Onions.

Driscoll’s Berries are nature’s palate cleansers.

Guy Fieri’s truck parked in front of The Inn at Spanish Bay. Sort of like a fish out of water. Or a beached whale.
